We believe arts and crafts is the gateway to creative peace, enlightenment and empowerment. Talent can emerge in many forms, shapes and sizes and we believe arts and crafts can be used as a vehicle to highlight, promote and enhance these skillsets, no matter the background or ability!
“(DIS)ARTISAN” is an Erasmus+ project focused on helping people with mild intellectual disabilities to have access to entrepreneurial learning and integrate them into social life.
This project highlights handcrafted products made by participants with special needs, developing fine motor, drawing, graphics, painting skills and hand-eye coordination, while simultaneously inserting them into the labour marketing through sales and e-commerce.
Our project consists of partners from Turkey, Romania, Italy and Portugal.
So, who are our artisans? Through the project, we have collaborated with 4 countries (Turkey, Romania, Italy and Portugal) who collectively, through their local activities trained people with mild intellectual disabilities to create beautifully captivating handcrafted items. Over the 2 years of this project and beyond, we will be featuring these artisans, right here, on our website.
